iTap and iTap2: how to choose the right configuration of defoamers The BOEL company from Novosibirsk offers the iTap foamless filling system.
This is the company’s own development: when creating it, engineers analyzed analogues of previous generations on the market and took into account the wishes of consumers - those who directly work with defoamers - in order to make the system as easy to use as possible.
The system is presented in two modifications - iTap and iTap2. BOEL Development Director Alexey Soloviev explained the difference between the two types of defoamers and how to choose the appropriate configuration.
— iTap and iTap2 are single-grade and two-grade defoamers, respectively. Dual-grade defoamers are designed to allow two types of beverage to flow through one device, thereby reducing the cost of one stream of beer. And this is really convenient: with the right approach to organizing a retail outlet, store, bar, you can save on equipment, and the speed of filling bottles with drinks will not be affected.
— But is it worth making a store entirely on two-grade defoamers? No. A situation may arise when a customer orders a certain variety, and the customer next in line orders a neighboring variety connected to the same defoamer. This means that the second buyer will have to wait until the seller finishes pouring the drink ordered by the first - simultaneous pouring of two varieties is impossible.
“But there is no need to build a store entirely on single-varietal devices - a larger area will be required, and the cost of one stream of beer, taking into account the purchase of equipment, will be higher. Every beer store owner knows that not all varieties are in equal demand. Typically, 30% of the assortment are popular varieties that are always in stock and are constantly in demand, and the remaining 70% are constantly changing. The store owners try new suppliers, new varieties, styles, the assortment may change depending on the season. Rotation at the point is constant, but there are also permanent varieties that are in stable demand.
“Therefore, the best option would be a combination of single-grade and two-grade defoamers. For single-varietal ones, we connect the most popular varieties that do not change - so that buyers do not have to wait, and the seller can always spill them. We put drinks that are in less demand for two-sort drinks. The likelihood that two people in a row will ask for varieties adjacent to one device is very small. This way, the establishment will have the opportunity to save on equipment and increase the speed of service. The material was prepared by the portal.
